18-Wheeler Truck Crashes in Nevada

Clark, NV - Stephanie St Site of Semi-Truck Wreck at Galleria Dr & Sunset RdAccording to National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates, large commercial vehicles were involved in nearly 345,000 accidents throughout the country in just one year.

Nearly 4,000 of the incidents involved tractor-trailers and an estimated 100,000 more accidents resulted in serious injuries.

Unfortunately, in Nevada, these accidents are all too common, particularly on the congested streets of Las Vegas, Clark, Henderson, Reno, Carson City, and other nearby cities with major interstates and arteries that span across the Silver State.

If you travel in and around Las Vegas frequently, you’re probably used to sharing the roads and highways with enormous trucks. Despite their heavy presence, it’s incomparably risky to be involved in an accident with one of these vehicles.

All too often, tractor-trailer collisions result in life-threatening injuries or death due to their overwhelming size and impact. When you’re behind the wheel of a car that collides with a tractor-trailer or commercial truck, the results may be disastrous in many ways. Not only will your vehicle take on significant damage, but you may also be severely injured. Furthermore, filing lawsuits against drivers or their companies can be complicated and problematic, as commercial and transportation businesses do not want to pay damages for their drivers’ negligence.

It’s clear that, after a serious vehicle crash, especially one involving an oversized semi-truck, victims may face significant financial difficulties in addition to critical injuries, persisting health problems, and agonizing mental distress. When these victims die as a result of the injuries they’ve sustained, their bereaved families are faced with tragic circumstances, like high medical costs and unexpected funeral bills.
