Henderson, NV (July 23, 2022) – On Saturday afternoon, July 23, a motorist was hurt in a collision at an intersection in the south Las Vegas valley, just inside of the Henderson region, according to police.
LVMPD Lieutenant Justin Byers said that officers responded to an accident near St. Rose Parkway and Paseo Verde Parkway at around 2:20 p.m. Byers said that one motorist was sent to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As the junction was located inside Henderson city limits, both the Las Vegas and Henderson Police Departments could be seen attending to the accident site. However, no other information was immediately supplied, and it is unclear which agency is ultimately responsible for the probe.
The accident’s victims have our deepest sympathies and best wishes for a full recovery.
Henderson Automobile Crashes and Victim Injuries
There might be as many as 720 fatalities on Nevada’s streets by the time the data are completed for 2021, which would make this year the deadliest on Nevada’s roadways since 2002. Drunk driving and reckless driving are likely to raise the fatality rate across the Silver State, especially in light of the fact that 250 people were killed or injured in drunk driving-related vehicle accidents in Clark County in a single year.
In addition to their already precarious health and physical well-being, those injured have been forced to contend with the long-term, debilitating effects of medical issues and an ever-increasing mountain of debt. And unfortunately, regardless of whether you are driving a vehicle, riding a motorbike, or riding a bicycle across our city, there is a strong probability that you will encounter hazardous traffic conditions at some point. Our packed city streets and multilane highways may put you at an elevated risk of suffering serious injuries in the event of a collision. This is true regardless of whether you are traveling through Henderson, Reno, Clark, or Las Vegas.
And as a result of their injuries, these victims cannot resume their normal lives, at least not for a long while, placing them at an increased risk of developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other forms of mental anguish.
