Injuries and Recoverable Damages for Car Accidents in Nevada

Kimmerling, NV - One Hospitalized Following Rollover Crash on US-88

When two vehicles collide, the occupants are vulnerable to injuries varying from trivial to serious or even deadly. The primary factors that will ultimately play the biggest role in the nature and scope of these injuries are going to be the speed, weight, and size of the vehicles involved.

Some of the serious injuries commonly caused by vehicle crashes in Nevada include:

  • Spinal cord damage
  • Whiplash and other soft tissue damage
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Severe head injuries
  • Loose or missing teeth and facial contusions
  • Bone fractures ranging from compound to hairline
  • Injuries to the lower extremities
  • 1st, 2nd, or 3rd-degree burn injuries
  • Internal organ damage
  • Internal bleeding
  • Psychological trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder, and other forms of emotional distress
  • Loss of consortium

Car accidents often produce severe injuries that could have far-reaching and even life-long effects. After an accident, injured victims should always get immediate medical attention. Any delay in doing so can not only make any latent injuries worse but it will also make it harder for you to collect full financial compensation.

In Nevada, financial compensation may include:

  • Existing and future medical expenses
  • Pain and suffering
  • Lost earnings and reduced earning capacity
  • Emotional distress
  • Wrongful death
  • Loss of companionship
