We would like to extend our thoughts and best wishes to the injured victim in hopes of their complete, fast recovery.
Injuries in Las Vegas Bicycle Accidents
Officials with the Department of Transportation in Nevada say that there were close to 800 fatalities involving bikes in traffic accidents in only the year 2016. The number of fatalities that occur among cyclists in and around the greater Las Vegas region has unfortunately been climbing consistently over the last decade.
In point of fact, over 72% of fatal bicycle accidents take place in metropolitan regions, such as Las Vegas, Reno, Clark, and other major metro locales. And regrettably, when it comes to injury-causing or deadly bicycle accidents, the victims and their families are the ones that have to pay the price tragically. The victim may be left with severe mental scars and emotional trauma, significant financial challenges, long-term health problems, or even permanent disabilities that mean they’re unable to resume their day-to-day lives and return to work.
When someone passes away as a consequence of injuries sustained in a bicycle accident, it may put the victim’s loved ones in an extremely difficult situation. On top of their grief and mourning for their lost loved ones, families often have to contend with the excessive medical and funeral costs that accompany such a tragic loss.
