Las Vegas, NV (June 23, 2022) – On Thursday morning, June 23, a chain-reaction collision involving five cars caused minor injuries and backed up traffic in the southwest valley.

All lanes have reopened on westbound Flamingo Road at Jones Boulevard following a collision with a vehicle stopped at a traffic signal. However, Las Vegas Metro Police report that the motorist involved in the original crash has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. Two individuals were sent to local hospitals, but according to the police, their injuries were minor and not life-threatening.

All lanes were reopened at 6:15 a.m., according to a tweet from the Regional Transportation District of Southern Nevada. The accident occurred at about 3:30 a.m., per authorities.
