Las Vegas, NV – Four Dead, Three Hurt in Wrong-Way Crash on I-15 at Sloan

Las Vegas, NV (January 11, 2022) – Four people died and two others suffered injuries following a wrong-way crash that happened Monday evening, January 11, on I-15 near Las Vegas.

According to the initial reports released by authorities, at least six cars were involved in the wreck. At about 6:00 p.m., the driver of a red Cadillac was traveling north in the southbound lanes of I-15 when it crashed into a Toyota pickup.

The impact caused the Toyota to burst into flames, and three people riding inside were declared deceased at the scene by the officials. The driver of the Cadillac, identified only as an adult woman, also died at the scene.

At least four other drivers veered to avoid the collision, and two people in these other vehicles were taken to University Medical Center by ambulance with non-critical injuries.

All traffic was being rerouted to Las Vegas Boulevard for several hours while investigators collected evidence. Further information has not been provided at this time, however.

Our deepest condolences go out to the families of the deceased victims. Our thoughts are with all injured victims in hopes of their full recovery.
