Injuries in Nevada Hit-Skip Collisions
Hit-and-run accidents are collisions in which at least one person involved flees the scene without assisting or providing information to victims. Also known as a “hit-skip” crash, these incidents affect almost every person on the road, from pedestrians to cyclists or your average passenger vehicle driver.
Tragically, according to statistics that were made public by Nevada’s Department of Transportation (NDOT), the Silver State is among the worst offenders in the nation when it comes to the number of hit-and-run incidents ending in death.
When compared to the average for the United States as a whole, this statistic takes on an even more concerning undertone. Nationwide, every minute marks an accident that involves a hit-and-run motorist.
Those affected by one of these automobile accidents frequently face significant financial hardships, intense physical pain and suffering, and intense emotional anguish as a direct result of their experience.
Furthermore, if the person responsible for the accident drives away from the site without rendering aid or exchanging information, the victim may be at a loss as to where they might seek assistance.
