Multi-Vehicle Collisions Causing Injury in Nevada
Every calendar year, approximately 50,000 or more injury-causing car accidents arise in Nevada, according to regular traffic crash data provided by the NDOT, or Nevada Department of Transportation. The lion’s share of these, per the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, occur in the greater Las Vegas region.
Victims of these serious car accidents typically face economic hardship, long-lasting injuries requiring painful surgeries and rehabilitation, and serious mental distress. Below are just a select few of the most predominant vehicle accident injuries:
- Traumatic brain injuries (TBI)
- Paralysis and related spinal cord damage
- Internal bleeding and damage to the organs
- Loss of limbs or amputation
Worse, a regional analysis of motor vehicle accidents in Nevada reveals that metropolitan and urban areas account for almost 70% of fatal incidents. And over 50% of these collisions transpired in Clark County, specifically in Las Vegas, Paradise, Clark, and surrounding areas. In the weeks and months after an injury-causing or fatal car accident, victims and their families are especially vulnerable.
It’s obvious that these traffic accidents are a terrible everyday reality for citizens in Nevada, particularly when it comes to the hustle and bustle on the streets of Las Vegas and beyond. You don’t have to suffer through this period alone if you’ve been involved in one of these accidents, however.
