Reports of Pedestrian Fatalities in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV - One Dead in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Charleston BlvdAccording to the Nevada Department of Transportation, the number of fatal and nonfatal automobile accidents in the Silver State will hit an all-time high in 2021, making it the worst year since 2005. Nevada reported 370 road fatalities by the end of December of the previous year, a 27% increase over the previous year.

About 250 people were killed in Clark County, where this heinous trend was escalating. Drunk driving and excessive speed were the leading causes of these fatal crashes, in which pedestrians were disproportionately injured. According to the final total and statistics, a rise in pedestrian fatalities in the state in 2021 may have resulted in as many as 85 deaths. Texting, talking on the phone, and changing the radio are all kinds of distracted driving that raise the likelihood of an accident.

Even worse, these instances may result in long-term physical and psychological stress for the victims. Even if they recover entirely, victims may incur greater medical expenses and income loss, among other repercussions. When a pedestrian is killed in an accident, his or her family is forced to incur exorbitant medical and burial costs.
