Las Vegas, NV (June 5, 2022) – On Saturday evening, June 4, in the central valley, a fatal collision involving two automobiles and a motorcycle took place and is currently being investigated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Officers arrived at the junction of Rancho Drive and Turquoise Road at around 7:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision between a pickup truck and a motorbike. Their early investigation determined that a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 was traveling north on Rancho and attempted to turn left onto Turquoise when they crossed into the path of the motorcyclist, causing a collision. The Dodge’s driver then struck a Chrysler that was stopped at a stop sign. The motorcyclist was declared dead at the site of the accident.
The Dodge’s driver tried to leave the scene on foot, but authorities apprehended him. He was detained on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. An investigation remains active and underway, and police plan to identify the victim once next-of-kin notifications are completed.
Our deepest condolences are extended to the loved ones of the deceased victim.
