Car Accident Injuries in Nevada
The Nevada Department of Public Safety recently released collision data for each county on a monthly and year-to-date basis, revealing that accident rates climbed by almost 115% in the first part of 2021 alone.
Furthermore, when compared to the same time period in 2020, fatal car accidents in the Silver State have more than quadrupled. During this time, there were about 50 collisions, with more than 30 fatalities reported statewide. Moreover, over 100 collisions occurred in Clark County in the first half of 2021, resulting in over 100 fatalities. This marks a year-over-year surge of more than 40%.
Clearly, serious auto accidents are all too common in the state of Nevada. These collisions also occur frequently in urban areas, from Reno to Las Vegas, Carson City, and beyond. Unfortunately, the victims who are involved in these accidents pay the price, often facing financial hardships, long-term health problems, and mental distress.
Even worse, victims’ loved ones may be left in an extremely difficult situation if their loved ones die as a result of these accidents. Medical and funeral costs are typically excessive for mourning families, not to mention lost wages.
