Las Vegas, NV (July 5, 2022) – A multi-vehicle crash in the center of Las Vegas on Tuesday, July 5, caused traffic delays and minor injuries.
Traffic was backed up for at least a mile or more as a result of the car collision, which reportedly involved two drivers and shut down a slew of left lanes on Tropicana Avenue at Nellis Boulevard. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the precise number of casualties is yet unclear, however.
Two persons were apparently brought to nearby hospitals, although early reports suggest that none of their injuries was considered by EMTs and other authorities to be critical or life-threatening. The event happened at 12:50 p.m. and was reportedly cleaned up by 3:00 p.m.
We hope that everyone who was hurt in Tuesday’s event recovers soon and completely.
Nevada’s Most Common Automobile Accident Causes
Based on an examination of the year’s final data and stats, experts estimate that 2021 will be the worst year for Nevada drivers in at least 14 years.
The number of traffic-related deaths in the state increased by roughly 22% over the first eleven months of the previous calendar year. In Clark County, where Las Vegas is situated, more than half of all drivers were killed in car accidents in only one recent year. Nevada residents, especially those in Las Vegas, are urged to stay up to date on the most recent traffic accident data, trends, year-over-year fatalities, and injuries, as they are at higher risk of being involved in these unfortunate wrecks.
The most common causes of car accidents are drunk driving and drivers traveling at extremely high speeds. To make matters worse, it is difficult for family members of victims killed by irresponsible drivers to accept and live with their loss, given that their death was caused by a driver’s irresponsibility, which is largely preventable. In addition to their intense grief, mourning family members may be financially burdened by medical and burial expenses. For these reasons and more, any person who has been wounded or lost a loved one in a Las Vegas accident should immediately call a qualified accident attorney.
