Since April 30 of this year, roughly 10 fatal crashes have occurred on Northern Nevada highways, according to Nevada State Police Trooper Charles Caster, and in comparison to the same time last year, the number of deadly vehicle accidents in Nevada has nearly doubled.

What’s more, there were over 55 vehicle accidents statewide, with about 30 deaths reported. Since the beginning of 2022, more than 110 accidents have happened in Clark County alone.

This represents a year-over-year increase of more than 43%, demonstrating that major vehicle accidents are all too prevalent across every part of the Silver State. In Reno, Sparks, Henderson, Las Vegas, and Carson City, these crashes are even more common due to each area’s busy thoroughfares and bustling city streets.
