Nevada Pedestrian Accidents Involving Serious Injuries

Las Vegas, NV - Two Hospitalized in Auto-Pedestrian Collision at Tropicana Ave & Duke Ellington WayThe Nevada Department of Transportation said that 2021 was the worst year since 2005 for death and injury-causing automobile accidents in the Silver State. In fact, by the end of December of the previous year, almost 400 individuals had died on Nevada’s streets, a 22 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, around 250 individuals were murdered in Clark County, where the tendency was far worse.

Unfortunately, excessive speed and impaired driving were the leading causes of these fatal collisions, especially those involving pedestrians. In addition, pedestrian deaths are on the increase across the state, with up to 85 people predicted to have perished by the time the final tally and statistics for 2021 are compiled.

In the event that a victim is struck by a driver who is not paying attention, they are far more likely to suffer life-threatening injuries or die. Such accidents may leave victims with chronic, crippling injuries and anguish. If victims recover completely, they may be overburdened by the rapidly growing costs of medical care, missed income, and lost future wages, in addition to other related expenses.
