Accident Rates in the Las Vegas Area

Las Vegas, NV - US 95 Site of Multi-Vehicle Collision & Injuries at Jones BlvdThe Nevada Transportation Authority anticipates an increase in road fatalities between January and June of 2022. Despite an overall decline of 11%, Nevada continues to have the highest mortality rate in the United States. Between the beginning of the year and the middle of the year, hospital admissions and deaths in Clark County rose by 25%.

Since the majority of Nevadans travel by automobile, it is reasonable to assume that the recent increase in fuel prices has reduced the number of accidents in the state’s main cities. In spite of increases in highway maintenance expenditures, gasoline prices, COVID-19 restrictions and shutdowns, and other reasons, the number of fatal accidents seems to have risen during the last three years. Even if no one is injured and no property is damaged, a car accident may have disastrous psychological and financial consequences.
