North Las Vegas, NV (January 15, 2022) – Officers are investigating a serious crash that left one person on life support at the hospital on Friday evening, January 14, in North Las Vegas.
Police responded to the accident, which happened near East Cheyenne Avenue and Civic Center Drive, shortly after 11:30 p.m. Preliminary reports revealed that the driver of a red Ford Mustang convertible was traveling westbound on Cheyenne when they attempted to make a left turn into a shopping plaza.
As they turned, they collided with the driver of a silver Ford Fusion traveling eastbound on Cheyenne. The driver and a passenger in the Mustang were both ejected as a result of the impact, police said. Both were taken to UMC by ambulance and the driver, a male in his 50s, was placed on life support.
The Mustang passenger, an adult male, and the driver of the Ford, an adult female, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with additional information is asked to call the North Las Vegas Police Department. The investigation remains active at this time.
Our thoughts are with all injured victims in hopes of a full recovery.
