Paradise, NV – Serious Car Crash on I-15 Near Tropicana Ave Under Investigation

Paradise, NV (August 11, 2022) – The most recent police reports suggest that on August 11th, at least one passenger was injured in a collision on a nearby municipal route.

An incident occurred at 8:35 p.m. at the Paradise Road exit off of Interstate 15. After just a few minutes, medics and emergency responders arrived to help the hurt. One of the two drivers involved in the collision was thought to have left the scene by the Paradise Police Department and local authorities; it is still unclear whether or not the driver they suspect to be at fault has been found.

According to the police report, paramedics transported one of the drivers or passengers to the hospital. Authorities have not yet established the total number of deaths due to the continuing investigation. The PPD should be notified promptly by any observers or witnesses.

We pray that those injured in today’s vehicle accident make a complete recovery quickly.

Nevada’s Rate of Injury-Causing Automobile Accidents

Paradise, NV - Serious Car Crash on I-15 Near Tropicana Ave Under InvestigationA large percentage of motorists who cause accidents then leave the scene to avoid legal repercussions. For example, a “hit-skip” or “hit-and-run” occurs when one motorist causes a serious collision that sends another driver to the hospital or causes significant property damage and then departs the scene. According to data compiled by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, the number of hit-and-run accidents increased dramatically in 2018.

According to statistics, one hit-and-run occurs per minute in the USA. As an additional note, the average number of hit-and-run incidents per year has risen to about 670,000 since 2006. Authorities believe that 2,000 people may be killed by hit-and-run accidents this year, an increase of 9% annually over the previous decade. Driving away from the scene of an accident is considered a misdemeanor in the state of Nevada. In the event of a conviction, these drivers might spend up to six months in jail and pay a fine of $2,000.

However, a Class B felony prosecution may be made if there is serious property damage, serious physical injury, or death. Regrettably, many drivers who cause accidents and then flee the scene get light sentences, if any at all, for their actions. Despite the catastrophe, you may still have options.
