Las Vegas, NV (August 4, 2022) – Lake Mead Boulevard was shut down in both directions on Thursday afternoon, August 4, due to a severe injury crash, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The collision took place close to East Lake Mead Boulevard and Christy Lane in the far eastern part of the Las Vegas valley. Around 1:30 p.m., the police said, the roadblock was set up near Bledsoe Lane. EMTs purportedly transferred at least two people to a local Las Vegas medical center, although their current conditions were not made public.

Police asked that people avoid the area during the investigation, and no additional information about those hurt was provided.
