Sparks, NV – Jerrett Busby Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Vista Blvd Near Peppergrass Dr
Sparks, NV (May 22, 2022) – A local man was found dead on the morning of Monday, May 16th after an apparent motorcycle accident in Sparks.
At about 9:00 a.m., crews with Sparks Fire, Sparks Police, and Regional Emergency Medical Service Authority responded to the scene of an accident that led to the death of a motorcyclist on Vista Boulevard between Peppergrass Drive and Vista Del Rancho Parkway.
Upon their arrival, rescuers located the body of 47-year-old Jerrett Busby, a resident of Sparks, down an embankment to the west of the boulevard.
According to a representative for the Sparks Police Department, investigators believe Busby was traveling southbound on Vista Boulevard heading towards Vista Del Rancho Parkway when he was struck, hit a curb, and was thrown from his bike, which went airborne before sliding down a dirt embankment.
Officials said that a cyclist on Vista Boulevard noticed the abandoned motorcycle and discovered Busby’s body in a nearby ditch. The man attempted life-saving efforts but was not successful.
Officers are unsure of exactly when the collision occurred but they all agreed that had it not been for an observant and somewhat curious man on a bicycle, Busby’s body might still be down in the embankment.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. Jerrett Busby, at this time.
