Motorcycle Crash Deaths in Nevada
According to statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), about 13 passenger cars out of every 100,000 are involved in a collision that results in a fatality. Unfortunately, motorcyclists have a much-increased chance of being seriously injured or even killed in traffic accidents. In fact, the death rate for collisions involving motorcycles is more than 72 per 100,000.
In only one year, there were more than fifty people killed while riding motorcycles throughout the state of Nevada. Despite the fact that motorcycle mortality rates have been progressively increasing over the course of the last decade, this data does demonstrate a decline from the previous year.
Unfortunately, it is abundantly obvious that catastrophic or even fatal motorcycle accidents are a sad reality of life in the state of Nevada, especially on the bustling streets of Reno, Las Vegas, Clark, Carson City, and other cities and towns around the state.
In addition, victims often have to deal with major financial setbacks, ongoing medical challenges, and lasting emotional anguish. When victims lose their lives as a consequence of these tragedies, it may put their loved ones in a situation that is beyond challenging. Families sometimes have little choice but to bear the burden of costly medical and funeral costs.
If you or a loved one has been hurt or lost their life as a result of a motorbike accident, you may be able to seek compensation, however.
