Frequency of Vehicle Crashes in Nevada

The Nevada Transportation Authority and the Department of Transportation report an increase in traffic fatalities from January to June of 2022. Although the national death rate has increased by 11%, Nevada still maintains the highest rate in the United States. The mortality and injury toll in Clark County increased by 25% from January to June.

Most people in Nevada’s main cities still use their own automobiles for daily transportation; thus, the recent increase in gasoline prices has probably cut down on the number of accidents there. The number of people killed in car accidents seems to have risen over the previous three years despite rising highway maintenance expenses, gasoline prices, COVID-19 limits and closures, and other variables. Always remember that a car crash’s emotional and financial fallout, even if it only results in minor injuries and property damage, may be significant, if not life-altering.
