Las Vegas, NV (June 3, 2022) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is conducting an investigation following a tragic train collision on Friday morning, June 3.

Police said that investigators were dispatched to the 1700 block of Western Avenue around 6:50 a.m. This section of Western Avenue was anticipated to be blocked for many hours as officers worked to scrub the scene. According to initial reports, a man was on the railway tracks when he was hit by an oncoming train.

Medics attempted to administer life-saving care, but they pronounced the man dead at the scene. According to the LVMPD, there are currently no suspicious circumstances related to this occurrence, although it does remain under investigation presently.
