Las Vegas, NV (December 4, 2021) – Troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol say that a motorcyclist died in a west Las Vegas crash on Saturday, December 4.

Las Vegas police, in conjunction with the NHP, said that two motorcycles were involved in the deadly accident, which happened on Blue Diamond Road at Red Rock Canyon Road.

A motorcycle stopped at a red light near a gas station in the northbound lane and for unknown reasons, entered the intersection. According to police, another motorcycle heading eastbound entered the intersection at the same time.

One of the riders was taken to an area medical center in critical condition, while the other motorcyclist died en route to the hospital. Blue Diamond Road was closed in all directions at State Route 159 for several hours, though it has reopened.

The investigation remains active at this time.
