Las Vegas, NV (May 20, 2022) – Officers from the Las Vegas Police Department were dispatched to the scene of an accident between a vehicle and pedestrian on the evening of Wednesday, May 18th.  

According to officials, police responded to the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Eastern Avenue for reports of a collision involving an injured pedestrian.  

The pedestrian was taken by paramedics to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The driver who struck the victim was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Police shut down the intersection of Desert Inn and Eastern as they conducted an investigation.
