Las Vegas, NV (April 25, 2022) – Clark County Fire Department crews responded to a deadly blaze that broke out at a building near I-15 and Blue Diamond Road on Monday afternoon, April 25.

Traffic cameras showed emergency vehicles parked at the entrance to Bass Pro Shops at Dean Martin Drive. Las Vegas Metro Police Department officers were also dispatched and said the fire was located in an underground tunnel. Around 3:45 p.m., rescue units put out the tunnel fire and conducted several searches for victims.

Upon further investigation, two people, a man and a woman, were found dead inside the tunnel.

The Clark County Corner’s Office will release the identities of both victims once next-of-kin notifications are complete. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, though fire investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze at this time.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased victims.
