Information on Car Accidents and Injuries in Nevada
In 2021, the Nevada Department of Transportation projects a rise in traffic-related fatalities and injuries across the state. The peak occurred in 2005, and traffic data analysts believe that things will become considerably worse in 2021. More than two hundred and eighty persons were killed on Nevada’s roads in 2016. Last year, there were 370 of them, so that number is up. This is a 30% rise over the previous year, regrettably.
In Clark County, where this dreadful trend is unfortunately on the rise, over 250 pedestrians have been killed in such instances. Tragically, victims are typically killed or left with significant injuries as a consequence of these accidents, and drunk driving and high speeds are major contributing factors. State officials have predicted that by the end of 2021, there might have been as many as 90 pedestrian deaths across the state.
For example, accidents involving careless driving account for more than twice as many pedestrian fatalities and injuries. This class includes things like messing with electronic devices (radio, phone, etc.) while driving. Victims of such terrible accidents often suffer permanent mental pain, physical impairments, and massive financial losses. Victims may be held responsible for reimbursing medical costs and making up for lost income even if they achieve a complete recovery. Those who have suffered losses that may have been avoided can seek justice via the courts.
