North Las Vegas, NV (April 9, 2022) – Officers with the North Las Vegas Police Department are investigating a deadly crash involving a motorcycle and a vehicle that happened early Saturday morning, April 9.

At approximately 7:00 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Ann Road and Allen Lane after receiving reports of a motorcycle accident.

Investigators believe the driver of a sedan was headed northbound on Allen when they ran a red light, colliding with a motorcyclist that was headed west on Ann. The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the sedan, identified as 29-year-old Thomas Munoz, Jr., was taken into custody and booked on DUI and reckless driving charges. This remains an ongoing investigation, however.
