Pahrump, NV (February 16, 2022) – Nevada State Police troopers say a 19-year-old man died Sunday, February 13, in a motorcycle accident that happened in the Pahrump area.

According to Trooper Ashlee Wellman, the crash was reported around 1:00 p.m. at State Route 372 and Red Rock Drive. Initial reports indicate that the driver of a silver Porsche 911 Carrera was traveling westbound in the center lane of the highway when the incident occurred. The Porsche’s driver allegedly failed to yield and made a left turn in front of a black Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling eastbound.

The motorcyclist, an adult male, was ejected from the bike as a result of the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene, Wellman said. Police later identified him as 19-year-old Austin Jacobson from Pahrump.

It’s unclear if citations or charges will be issued in connection to the crash. The investigation remains active this time, however.
