Reno, NV (March 9, 2022) – Reno Police Department officers are investigating a two-vehicle crash that took place in south Reno and left one person with life-threatening injuries on Wednesday evening, March 9.

Authorities say the incident happened just before 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Rio Wrangler Parkway and Western Skies Drive. One other victim was also taken to a hospital as a precaution. Investigators have not said what caused the crash, though police shut down Rio Wrangler Parkway between Summer Glen Drive and Baton Drive as they worked to clear the scene and collect evidence.

The current conditions of the two hospitalized victims are unknown. The investigation into the accident remains active, and officers have not released the identities of those involved.
