Reno, NV (December 23, 2021) – Police have released further details after a pedestrian died in a crash that occurred in downtown Reno on Saturday evening, December 18.

According to officers with the Reno Police Department, a woman was crossing 1750 East Fourth Street around 6:30 p.m. when a white sports utility vehicle hit her. The driver of the suspect car, described as a mid-sized SUV, continued westbound and did not stop to render aid.

EMS units arrived shortly afterward and attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RPD is continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact them.
