Hit-Skip Car Accidents in Spring Valley

A considerable number of traffic accidents occur in Nevada each year as a result of hit-and-run drivers. According to recently released data, Nevada has one of the highest rates of lethal hit-and-run accidents in the country. This is especially concerning given that, according to the most current figures from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, hit-and-run incidents occur about once every minute on U.S. highways.

This, along with the fact that the number of hit-and-run accidents in Nevada is on the increase, makes the state’s position particularly concerning. In 2016 alone, over 2,070 people died as a result of these occurrences, which is the greatest number ever recorded and marks a nearly 67% rise over the past 13 years. As a direct result of the collision, victims of such tragic automotive accidents may experience great financial burdens, severe bodily pain from significant injuries and a difficult recovery spanning weeks or months, and profound mental anguish or misery.

Furthermore, if the individual who caused the accident escapes the scene without giving assistance or providing information to the victim, the victim may be unclear where to turn for assistance, further complicating things.
