Wendover, NV (April 4, 2022) – Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say that Interstate 80 was closed at the Utah border as officials investigated a fatal crash involving a semi-truck on Monday evening, April 4.

NHP troopers were dispatched to the rollover crash around 9:00 p.m. Upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered that one man had died, though it’s unclear if the victim was the driver of the semi-truck or traveling in another vehicle. It’s also unknown if injuries were reported in the incident.

Officials are still working to investigate the accident and have not provided further details at this time. Witnesses of the accident were asked to contact NHP troopers. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
