Henderson, NV (December 7, 2021) – Troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol are investigating a deadly accident that shut down an intersection for several hours on Tuesday evening, December 7.

Around 9:00 p.m., the NHP and the City of Henderson Police, as well as local fire departments, responded to the fatal crash, which involved two vehicles colliding at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Sahara Avenue.

Police say one person was transported to an area medical center in critical condition but later died. All other victims were taken to local hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Eastern Avenue was closed to travel in both the southbound and northbound directions for several hours. The investigation remains ongoing at this time, however, and further information has not been made public.
