Henderson, NV (September 19, 2022) – On September 19, at about 2:25 p.m., an automobile accident happened in the broader Las Vegas region, just within Henderson municipal borders.
The number of individuals injured in the event is unknown, although authorities have verified that at least two people were injured. According to Henderson Police, drivers should avoid I-11 at Horizon Drive. There has been no public update on the two victims who were carried away in an ambulance, and the nature of their injuries has not been disclosed. After questioning all parties and relevant witnesses, the police will offer further information.
Now that the investigation has officially opened, Henderson Police have begun vetting possible witnesses for questioning.
We wish for the full recovery of all injured victims.
How Common Are Car Accidents in Nevada?
According to the Nevada Transportation Authority and the Department of Transportation, there will be an increase in road fatalities between January and June 2022. Despite an 11% rise in the national rate, Nevada still has the highest mortality rate in the country. Between January and June, the mortality and injury toll in Clark County jumped by 25%. Because the majority of individuals in Nevada’s major cities still drive their own cars on a regular basis, the recent rise in fuel costs has likely reduced the frequency of accidents there.
Despite growing highway maintenance costs, rising gasoline prices, COVID-19 limitations and closures, and other factors, the number of individuals killed in automobile accidents seems to have increased over the previous three years. Remember that even if a vehicle accident only results in minor injuries and property damage, the emotional and financial consequences may be severe, if not life-changing.
