Henderson, NV (February 24, 2022) – Officers with the Henderson Police Department say that, on Wednesday evening, a woman suffered injuries after getting hit by a vehicle at a local intersection.

Per the initial information released by officers on the scene, the auto-pedestrian accident took place at 9:00 p.m. Police reported to the area of Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Parkway. Early reports also indicated that the woman was crossing in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a car.

Medics rushed the woman to Sunrise Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities, and officials believe that speed and impairment are not involved.

No other details are immediately available, though the HPD’s investigation is ongoing.
