Nevada State Injury Auto Wrecks
According to state officials in Nevada, the majority of fatal accidents in the state happened within a year, and the majority of them included drivers who were under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Last year, the number of people killed on Nevada’s roadways as a consequence of drunk driving hit a 14-year high, with almost 400 people killed.
There was a nearly 110 percent rise in the number of fatal accidents in May of this year. This statistic has more than doubled when compared to the same time period in 2020. In addition, from January to May 2021, there were over a hundred crashes in Clark County, resulting in over a hundred fatalities.
What’s more, over 30,000 Americans will die in vehicle accidents each year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and yearly data they collect and evaluate. Despite the fact that many more people will be hurt, the wrongful death of a loved one might be even more traumatic for surviving family members who must now try to live with the loss. If a loved one is killed in an accident caused by a careless driver or a faulty vehicle component, Nevada law permits surviving spouses, children, and parents to file a wrongful death case for financial compensation. In addition to paying for medical expenses linked to the accident, the responsible party should additionally pay for graves, funerals, loss of companionship, and the decedent’s estimated income if the vehicle accident had never happened.
Given these sobering statistics, it should come as no surprise that deadly vehicle accidents are all too common in Nevada. And when a victim dies as a direct result of one of these incidents, the individuals closest to them are often put in a vulnerable position. Families are occasionally forced to shoulder the financial burden of high medical and funeral bills. As a consequence, if you or a loved one has been injured as a result of one of these crashes, you may be entitled to pursue legal action.
