Las Vegas, NV (June 4, 2022) – According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, at least one person was wounded in a serious car accident that occurred in the city of Las Vegas on Saturday, June 4.
At the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Decatur Boulevard, it is believed that a motorist hit another before leaving the scene. At around 1:55 p.m., representatives of the community’s emergency services arrived and started offering aid. The LVMPD reported that two or three drivers were involved in the collision and that one of them fled the scene without stopping. Because one of the patients required more extensive treatment for their injuries, they were transferred to a local medical center via ambulance.
There is no information on the exact number of wounded individuals or the circumstances behind the tragedy. Due to the continuing nature of the investigation, the police have not disclosed any information about the suspect driver or their car.
Those who were injured in this accident are in our thoughts, and we hope they make a full recovery.
Injuries From Hit-and-Run Accidents in Las Vegas
At least one driver engaged in a hit-and-run accident leaves the scene of the collision without delivering aid to victims or providing information to other drivers. These crashes, sometimes known as “hit-skip” collisions, endanger everyone on our roads, especially pedestrians, cyclists, and other vulnerable road users.
According to statistics made public by Nevada’s Department of Transportation (NDOT), the Silver State has one of the highest rates of hit-and-run incidents resulting in deaths.
Moreover, when compared to the national average for the United States as a whole, this statistic becomes even more concerning. Every minute, a motorist who causes an accident and then leaves the scene happens at the national level. As a direct result, victims of catastrophic automobile collisions often face great financial troubles, extreme physical pain and suffering, and profound emotional anguish. In addition, if the individual who caused the accident leaves the scene without giving aid or providing information to the victim, the victim may not know where to seek assistance, which might exacerbate the issue.
