Unfortunately, hit-and-run drivers are engaged in a significant proportion of traffic incidents in Nevada. According to a recent report, Nevada has one of the highest rates of fatal hit-and-run events in the whole nation.

Moreover, the latest AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety data indicates that more than one hit-and-run accident happens on American highways every minute, making Nevada’s increased prevalence of these incidents, particularly alarming. There were about 2,055 fatalities as a consequence of these occurrences in 2016, the greatest number ever reported and accounting for a near 65% rise since 2009.

As a direct consequence of such catastrophic automobile accidents, victims may experience great financial burdens, terrible bodily pain and suffering, and deep mental sorrow. Furthermore, if the person responsible for the accident escapes the scene without providing aid or information to the victim, the victim may be unsure where to seek assistance, complicating matters even further.
