Accidents Involving Hit-and-Run Drivers in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV - Hit-and-Run Crash at Tropicana Ave & Koval Ln Causes InjuriesHit-and-run motorists are responsible for a significant number of traffic accidents that occur in Nevada each year. In fact, Nevada is one of the states that has one of the highest rates of deadly hit-and-run incidents throughout the nation, according to a report that was just published. This is particularly grim considering the fact that the most recent statistics from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety indicate that hit-and-run accidents occur on U.S. highways roughly once per minute.

This fact, coupled with the fact that Nevada’s hit-and-run accident rate is on the rise, makes Nevada’s situation an especially worrying one. In 2016, these incidents were responsible for the deaths of around 2,060 persons, which is the highest number ever documented and represents an almost 66% increase since 2009.

Victims of such devastating automobile accidents may face enormous financial hardships, intense physical pain from major injuries and a tough recovery lasting weeks or months, and deep emotional trauma or agony as a direct consequence of the collision.

Furthermore, if the person who caused the accident flees the site of the wreck without offering aid or providing information to the victim, the victim may be unsure where to go for help, complicating matters further.
