Traffic Accident Injuries in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV - Injuries Reported in Rear-End Collision at Fairfield & Chicago Aves

Driver impairment and speeding are the leading causes of traffic deaths in Las Vegas and across Nevada. In fact, impaired driving is the main cause of accidents, injuries, and deaths in Nevada, accounting for more than 130 fatalities in 2018. Excessive speed is a close second, and both are easily avoided.

Moreover, the use of alcohol, marijuana, or prescription medications while driving accounts for at least 40% of fatal collisions in Nevada.

Excessive speeding, on the other hand, accounts for over 30% percent of all traffic fatalities in Nevada. Even worse, accidents involving high speeds are becoming increasingly prevalent in the Las Vegas region. Speeds in excess of 100 mph are recorded in more and more accidents as the years go on, with the majority of fines issued for these infractions in the greater Las Vegas region.
