Statistics on Car Crashes Causing Injuries in Nevada
The number of people killed in car crashes in Nevada increased between January 2022 and June 2022, according to data provided by the state’s Department of Transportation. The national death toll is up 11%, with Nevada seeing the worst increase. The number of people killed or critically wounded in Clark County increased by 23% between January and June of this year.
However, the recent increase in fuel costs may have led to a decrease in fatal accidents in Nevada’s biggest cities, where the bulk of residents still rely on automobiles for transportation. There seems to have been an increase in the number of deaths that may be related to accidents during the last three years, despite the fact that highway maintenance costs have increased, fuel prices have risen, COVID-19 has been adopted, and shutdown limits have been placed in place.
Those who make it through a tragedy with just superficial injuries may nevertheless have to deal with enormous mental and financial strains in the years that follow.
