Las Vegas, NV (June 8, 2022) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed that a 78-year-old man died four days after being hit by a vehicle while riding his motorcycle.
The accident initially occurred on North Rancho Drive, north of West Gowan Road, on Saturday evening, June 4. At around 5:30 p.m., the motorcyclist was going northbound on Rancho when the driver of a Ford Escape struck him as they were turning right from Gowan onto Rancho. The rider was transferred to University Medical Center via ambulance in serious condition and was placed in the critical care unit, where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
Las Vegas Metro Police say that the driver of the Ford Escape remained at the crash site and showed no indications of impairment. The investigation into the fatal incident is ongoing, however, and police asked any witnesses to come forward if they have additional information.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased man.
