Las Vegas-Area Pedestrian Crash Fatalities
Nearly 393 persons have lost their lives on the streets of Nevada as of the end of December, representing a 22% rise in comparison to the year 2020. In and around Clark County, where the situation was substantially direr, there were around 255 people who lost their lives. Unfortuitously, excessive speed and driver intoxication were the major causes of these deadly occurrences, and this was especially true for interactions involving pedestrians.
The number of pedestrians who lose their lives in the state each year is also rising, with more than 80 persons losing their lives in 2021 alone.
When a victim is hit by a careless motorist, they, unfortunately, face a significantly higher danger of receiving catastrophic injuries that might threaten their lives or perhaps pass away as a result of their ordeal. Accidents of this kind often leave victims with chronic and ongoing physical ailments that may continue to plague them for the rest of their lives. In the event that victims are able to make a complete recovery from their injuries, it is possible that they may be taken aback by the rapidly increasing costs of medical care, lost income and future wages, and other expenses associated with the incident.
The devastated family members of a pedestrian who is killed, on the other hand, are forced to spend enormous medical bills as well as burial expenses, all while trying to grieve the loss of a loved one. Therefore, it is imperative that you get in touch with a pedestrian accident attorney in Las Vegas as soon as possible if you or a loved one has been hurt in an accident that might have been avoided or if you have lost a family one in such an incident.
