Las Vegas, NV (June 22, 2022) – An accident that happened on the evening of June 22 is now the subject of an investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
The multiple-vehicle accident took place on Wednesday night at around 11:45 p.m. on Interstate 15 northbound at the exit to Sahara Avenue, which caused about a mile of stop-and-go traffic. Initial reports state that the event happened when at least two cars were approaching the exit when the lead driver began to slow down, which led to a rear-end accident. Additionally, an ambulance was used to transport one victim to a local hospital.
The victim’s most current condition has not been made public by medical personnel or emergency personnel, and the overall number of wounded people is also unclear. No new information has been made public, but investigators are still trying to figure out what exactly happened before the crash.
We send our sincere thoughts and best wishes to all of today’s accident victims who were affected, and we are hoping for a complete and speedy recovery for everyone.
Traffic Crash Injuries Taking Place in Las Vegas
By the end of 2021, at least 415 Nevadans will have perished in car accidents, according to government estimates, making it the deadliest year on our state’s streets in the last fifteen years. Additionally, since 2020, the fatality rate has increased by more than 75%, with drunk driving and excessive speeding on the part of the responsible drivers accounting for the majority of these fatal collisions.
Sadly, the majority of deaths and injuries occurred in Clark County, where more than 235 individuals died and many others were injured in the previous year alone. Undoubtedly, Nevada has a disproportionately high number of motor vehicle accidents, and a sizable majority of these instances have serious repercussions for the victims and their families. In Las Vegas, Carson City, and Reno, among other places in Nevada, there are obviously many cars and persons involved in traffic accidents.
People who are affected by such events could have to cope with long-term health issues, as well as financial troubles, chronic agony, and discomfort from their injuries. When a loved one succumbs to their injuries after one of these terrible events, bereaved families may find themselves in a difficult, if not impossible, situation. High medical and funeral costs, in addition to the psychological and material challenges of losing a loved one, may make it difficult for a grieving family to rebuild their lives.
