Las Vegas, NV (May 30, 2022) – Officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department are now investigating an accident that happened on Monday, May 30, and wounded one or more persons.
At around 11:30 p.m., police responded near the scene of a multi-car accident after receiving a report about the event, which happened on the westbound 215 Southern Beltway at Exit 3 to Valle Verde Drive. Two automobiles crashed in what seemed to be a rear-end collision as traffic in the vicinity halted, according to the first reports.
As a consequence of the event, emergency medical personnel transferred at least one patient to a nearby healthcare facility in an ambulance. Detectives are still piecing together what happened and haven’t revealed any other details.
We are thinking about all of the wounded victims and wish them a full and swift recovery.
Las Vegas Traffic Crash Statistics
The Nevada Department of Public Safety has issued monthly and year-to-date data on the number of traffic accidents in each of the state’s counties. These figures represent the total number of accidents that have happened in each county.
In May of the previous year, there was an almost 113 percent increase in the number of fatal accidents, as well as a more than threefold increase in the number of wrecks. Furthermore, when compared to the same time period in 2020, the number of deadly vehicle accidents in Nevada has more than doubled in the last year and a half.
Over the course of this time, there were around 50 instances, with more than 30 individuals reported dying as a result of these occurrences. The most recent statistics indicate a huge rise from the start of the year to now, proving that catastrophic vehicle accidents are much too prevalent in our state. This is shown by the numbers, which show concerning growth from the beginning of the year until now.
Those who have been affected by these heinous acts must, sadly, cope with the emotional fallout as well as long-term physical issues and financial difficulties. Victims of these calamities may find themselves in a difficult situation if they die as a direct result of the events that transpired. Families are forced to bear the financial burden of high medical and burial costs while also coping with the emotional impact of losing a loved one.
