Las Vegas, NV (September 20, 2022) – A 29-year-old motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Flamingo Road near Decatur Boulevard on Monday, according to Las Vegas police.

Per the Regional Transportation Commission, westbound Flamingo between Decatur Boulevard and Edmond Street was blocked to traffic on Monda morning. The incident occurred at 11:25 a.m., and police said it involved a motorcyclist and a white vehicle.

According to authorities, the motorcyclist, identified as 29-year-old Robert Schneider, was riding westbound on Flamingo when the driver of a box truck failed to yield and entered his travel lane, causing them both to collide. Schneider was sent to University Medical Center and declared deceased upon arrival.

The driver of the box truck stayed at the site and showed no symptoms of intoxication. An investigation still remains active at this time, however.
