Las Vegas, NV (October 5, 2022) – At about 3:35 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, authorities in the Henderson region started investigating an accident involving a huge vehicle that had been reported from the vicinity.
After receiving reports of a truck collision at the intersection of northbound Interstate 95 and the Boulder Highway, police were sent to the scene. One of the automobiles apparently fled the scene before this was published. The second driver and their passenger were airlifted to a hospital in the heart of Las Vegas for further testing.
Medics on the scene have not yet revealed the extent of the victim’s wounds. However, the Metro Police Department has not provided any updates on the event or the people that were affected.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims at this time, and we hope for their complete recovery.
Injuries Sustained in Nevada Car Crashes
Statistics indicate that more than 40 people lose their lives every day in the United States due to drunk driving. Even if the annual death toll from drunk driving in the United States has dropped by 30% over the last three decades, it still accounts for over 10,000 annual deaths. The driving population of the 48 contiguous states was surveyed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to supplement the 2013 and 2014 sobriety checkpoint statistics given.
More than a quarter of weekend drivers tested positive for chemicals that might impair driving, and data supplied to law enforcement shows that driving while distracted happens when a driver’s attention is diverted from the road. Careless drivers provide a serious danger to pedestrians and other road users. Distracted driving is dangerous for everyone on the road. Distracted driving encompasses a wide range of behaviors, from conversing with passengers to adjusting the volume on a portable media player to typing out a text message.
It is estimated that over 3,500 persons lost their lives in traffic accidents in the United States last year. Some of these deaths might have been caused by drivers who were preoccupied. There was a twelve percent rise in hit-and-run incidents within the last decade.
