Las Vegas, NV (December 7, 2021) – A 3-year-old child who was found inside a burning mobile home and rescued on Monday morning, December 6, has died from his injuries, per reports from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Fire investigators determined that the blaze, which occurred at a home on the 3600 block of Fort McHenry Drive. was accidental. Witnesses called 911 and told dispatchers that children may have been inside the residence. Crews rushed to the scene and located a toddler boy inside the home.

Paramedics transported the boy to Sunrise Hospital, where he died Tuesday morning, police said. However, the cause and manner of the boy’s death remain under investigation by the Coroner’s Office, according to an LVMPD press release.

Two other people were also treated for injuries at the scene, though their identifying information was not released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
