Las Vegas, NV – Two Hospitalized After Two-Car Accident at Elkhorn & Cimarron Rds

Las Vegas, NV (August 25, 2022) – An accident that happened on Thursday, August 25th, at the intersection of Elkhorn Road and Cimarron Road, close to Centennial Hills Park, is under investigation by the police.

At 11:35 a.m., authorities received a report of a crash involving two automobiles that resulted in injuries. The 21-year-old male driver of a Hyundai Sonata was reportedly traveling east on Elkhorn and approaching the intersection with Cimarron in the right-turn lane. Meanwhile, the 22-year-old male driver of a Volkswagen Jetta was making a left turn from Cimarron onto the intersection when he was struck by the front of the oncoming Hyundai.

An ambulance took the Hyundai’s driver to Centennial Hills Hospital to be treated for his wounds. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen driver was rushed to UMC with critical injuries. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is still looking into the crash, and no new information has emerged.
