Las Vegas-Area Bus Accidents
According to a study from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), 25 fatal collisions involving heavy trucks and buses occurred in Nevada in 2015, resulting in 27 deaths. These figures are higher when compared to the previous year, regrettably. In fact, in 2014, there were 15 deadly bus accidents that ended in 17 fatalities.
Four of these devastating collisions included just one car, while the other 29 involved several vehicles. Per national data released by traffic analysts and researchers, the majority of collisions involving a heavy truck or bus also involved at least two vehicles.
Victims of catastrophic vehicle accidents, especially those involving big buses, can endure significant financial hardships in addition to long-term, persisting physical injuries and health problems, not to mention severe mental anguish. When victims die as a result of their injuries, their bereaved families are left to deal with high medical and funeral bills.
